What are the essential vitamins for the body?

There are thirteen essential vitamins for the body. Without them the human organism cannot function properly.

Of these, nine are water-soluble and are not stored in the body. When there is an excess in the body, they are lost through urine or sweat, except for vitamin B12, which can remain stored for years in the liver. To avoid deficiency, they must be supplied through food or food supplements.

The other four essential vitamins for the body are fat-soluble. They are vitamins A, D, E and vitamin K. These are best absorbed by the body in the presence of dietary fat and are stored specifically in the liver, muscles and adipose tissue.

You can find vitamins in many foods and also in Robis food supplements.
