Quality in food supplements is critical
Robis has maintained its integrity and reputation in the food supplement industry since 1983 by maintaining high manufacturing quality standards to protect consumers and ensure product efficacy.
Consumer safety
The main concern is consumer safety. Poor quality supplements may contain harmful contaminants such as heavy metals, pesticides or microbiological hazards. These contaminants can pose significant health risks, especially if supplements are taken regularly over a long period of time.
Efficacy and effectiveness
High-quality supplements ensure that the active ingredients are present in the correct amounts and are bioavailable, meaning that they can be absorbed and used effectively by the body. This is essential for supplements to have the intended health benefits.
Regulatory compliance
Strict regulations govern the production and sale of food supplements in many countries. Quality control ensures that products meet these regulatory standards, which are designed to protect public health. Non-compliance can have legal consequences, including fines, product recalls and damage to a company’s reputation.
Consumer confidence and brand reputation
Quality assurance helps build consumer confidence. Consumers are more likely to buy and recommend supplements from brands known for their commitment to quality. Conversely, if a company produces substandard products, it can lead to a loss of consumer confidence, negative reviews and a damaged brand reputation.
Prevention of health claim issues
Quality assurance also means labelling products accurately. This includes providing correct information on content, dosage and health benefits. Incorrect labelling can mislead consumers and potentially lead to serious health problems, especially if the product interacts negatively with medications or other supplements they are taking.
Consistency
High quality manufacturing processes ensure product consistency, meaning that each batch contains the same ingredients in the same amounts. This consistency is important for users who rely on supplements as part of their health regime.
Certified quality
ISO 9001 CERTIFIED
The ISO 9001 Standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), determines the requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS), which can be used for internal application by organisations, regardless of whether the product or service is provided by a public organisation or private company, whatever its size, for certification or contractual purposes.
ISO – International Standard Organization – is an independent, non-governmental body that currently has 162 members from different countries around the world.
GMP (GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICE)
Good manufacturing practice (GMP) is applicable to the manufacturing operations of food supplements, medicines, cosmetics, medical products, etc., in their final forms for sale to the public.
They are included in the concept of quality assurance and are the factor that ensures that products are manufactured in a uniform and controlled manner, in accordance with the quality standards appropriate to the intended use of the products and in conformity with the conditions required for their marketing.
HACCP CRITICAL POINT ANALYSIS
The system is scientifically based and systematic in nature, allowing the identification of specific hazards and measures for their control to ensure food safety. It is a tool for assessing hazards and establishing control systems that focus on prevention rather than relying primarily on end-product testing.
It is a process of collecting and evaluating information about hazards and the conditions that cause them in order to decide which are important to food safety.
EUROPEAN ORGANIC PRODUCTION
Ecological agriculture, also known as biological or organic agriculture, is an alternative system of agricultural production that makes it possible to obtain food of the highest quality and free of chemical residues, while respecting the environment.
It tries to respect the natural cycles of each product, thus avoiding a radical transformation of the environment, and adapts to the production capacity of the land, allowing the renewal of natural resources, seeking not only productivity but also the sustainability of production.
In the European Union there is a labelling system so that consumers know the true organic origin of products.
LOCAL COMMITMENT
It is a series of coordinated activities that are carried out on a set of elements (resources, procedures, documents, organisational structure and strategies) to achieve the quality of the products offered to the customer, i.e. to plan, control and improve those elements of an organisation that influence customer satisfaction and the achievement of the results desired by the company.
At Robis we work towards the satisfaction of our customers, which is why we are committed to a process of continuous improvement and the implementation of standardised norms. All the staff of our company is involved in achieving the highest quality of our products.
